Food Net NRW
Food Net NRW is the joint project of Food-Processing Initiative e.V. (FPI) and Nordrhein-Westfälische Ernährungs-Wirtschaft – Sozialpartnerprojektes e. V. (NEW.S).

The two partners combine their experience and resources to create an unique industry platform in Germany. Thus synergies are realised, the objectives of the project are efficiently aimed and thus added value for the food industry in North Rhine-Westphalia is generated.
Food Net NRW puts together companies of the sector on selected topics, presents innovative operational examples, provides information on future trends and scientific studies and provides support for the implementation in practice.
Food Net NRW builds on the structures and experience of NEW.S and FPI. Through existing partnerships and networking activities, the cooperation of many companies is already taking place and is characterised by high engagement on all levels of management and work.
The focus of the project Food Net NRW lays on the food-processing companies with the purpose of manufacturing, packaging and marketing of high quality and innovative food. Industry and academia develop innovative and transferable approaches together. The central objective is to exploit untapped growth and employment potential of the food sector in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Main objective of Food Net NRW is to strengthen companies both nationally and in the fiercely competitive international markets, to expand and to save jobs. It is important to make the companies fit for the markets of the future.
With support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the food value chain shall expand its already strong position due to Food Net NRW.
